Artist Bio

Mónica Olivo (b. 1995, Manhattan, NY) is a multidisciplinary artist exploring themes of ancestral journey, natural healing, and cultural identity. Drawing from their Caribbean, Dominican roots, they work across mediums like painting and writing, blending ancestral symbolism and surrealist elements to reflect on human nature, society, and the earth.

Their practice seeks to honor Indigenousness while highlighting empathy, reflection and a deeper connection to our subconscious world. Monica envisions art as an endless space for dialogue, storytelling and community healing. Their work affirms compassion and collective growth as vital forces against violence and profit driven systems, inviting viewers into a transformative experience.

Monica currently lives and works between Miami, Florida and New York.
